Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Clean Image Exporter website and online editor at removeai.online, the Clean Image Exporter browser extension and Pro plans (together, the “Service”).

1. Acceptance

By using the Service or buying a Pro plan, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. You must be at least 16 to use the Service and an adult (or have a parent’s permission) to make a purchase.

2. The Service

Clean Image Exporter creates new image files from the visible pixels of your images without copying the original embedded metadata, and lets you convert to JPG, PNG or WebP, resize, crop to social presets, adjust quality and export in batches. Processing happens locally in your browser. We may improve, change or remove features over time.

3. Free and Pro plans

• Free — all features, up to 5 exported images per day per browser or extension.
• Pro Monthly — $4.99 per month, unlimited exports and batch size.
• Pro Yearly — $24 per year, same as Monthly.
• Pro Lifetime — $39 one-time payment, Pro for the lifetime of the product, including future updates.

One Pro license works in the extension and the online editor for personal use by one person. Prices are shown in USD; taxes such as VAT may be added at checkout depending on your location. “Lifetime” means for as long as we operate the Service.

4. Billing and renewal

Payments are processed by Stripe. Monthly and Yearly plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, charged to your saved payment method, until you cancel. We will notify you in advance of any price change for existing subscriptions, and you can cancel before it applies. If a renewal payment fails, Pro may be paused until payment succeeds.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a subscription anytime via “Manage your subscription” on the pricing section or by emailing support@removeai.online. Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for; no further charges are made. Our Refund Policy describes the 14-day money-back guarantee.

EU/UK consumers: you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By completing your purchase, you request that Pro is unlocked immediately. Regardless of this, our 14-day money-back guarantee lets you get a refund within 14 days of purchase.

6. License keys

After purchase you receive a license key starting with CIE-. Keep it private and don’t share or resell it. We may deactivate keys that are publicly shared, used abusively, linked to a refunded or disputed payment, or used in breach of these Terms. Lost keys can be reissued — contact support from your purchase email.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• process images you don’t have the right to use, copy or modify;
• remove copyright or rights-management information where this is unlawful;
• deceive people about the origin of content in a way that is unlawful or breaks the rules of the platform where you publish it — for example fraud, impersonation, political disinformation or avoiding legally required AI disclosures;
• create or share illegal content, including content that exploits minors or violates someone’s privacy;
• bypass the free plan limit or license checks, or interfere with, overload or attack the Service or its API.

You are solely responsible for the images you process and for how you label and publish exported files, including following the terms of Instagram, TikTok, X and other platforms.

8. Your content

You keep all rights to your images. Because they are processed on your device, we never receive them and claim no rights to them.

9. Metadata and AI labels

The Service removes original embedded metadata, which may include location, camera details, C2PA Content Credentials and AI-generation tags. It does not remove visible watermarks or invisible pixel watermarks (such as SynthID), and we do not guarantee how any platform will detect, label or treat your images. A platform label appearing on your content is not a defect of the Service and is not by itself grounds for a refund outside the 14-day guarantee.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or rebrand the Service or the extension, or remove its license checks.

11. Extension and updates

The extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store, where Google’s terms also apply. Updates may be released to fix issues or improve the Service, and older versions may stop being supported.

12. No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every type of metadata will be removed from every file. Always keep your original images. Statutory consumer warranties are not affected.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data, or account restrictions or labels applied by third-party platforms. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you used the free plan. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version; material changes affecting paid plans will be announced in advance. You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend access for breaches of these Terms. If we ever discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused part of prepaid subscriptions.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence. Please contact us first so we can try to solve any issue. EU consumers can also use a consumer mediator under applicable law.
