No. The online editor works in any modern browser. The extension is optional and adds a toolbar popup, a full-tab editor and a right-click “Open image in Clean Image Exporter” option.

Open Clean Image Exporter in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. Then pin it from the puzzle-piece menu so it’s one click away. It also works in Edge, Brave, Opera and other Chromium browsers that allow Chrome Web Store extensions.

Chrome updates it automatically. Your license key stays saved. If you used the old developer version (installed with “Load unpacked”), remove it in chrome://extensions and install the Chrome Web Store version, then add your key again with “Have a key?”.

Choose files, drag and drop, paste with Cmd/Ctrl + V, or paste an image URL. In the extension you can also right-click an image on any page. For big batches, use the full-tab editor so the popup doesn’t close.

JPG doesn’t support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Export to PNG or WebP to keep transparency.

Yes. Add several images, choose settings once and export. Files get numbered names. If your browser asks to allow multiple downloads, choose Allow — or download them as a ZIP.

The exported file is built from the visible pixels only, so EXIF (camera, date, settings), GPS location, XMP and IPTC fields, C2PA Content Credentials, AI-generation tags and embedded thumbnails are not carried over.

The file itself no longer contains the metadata Instagram, Facebook and Threads read to add the label automatically. But platforms can also detect content in other ways, and invisible pixel watermarks (like SynthID) and visible watermarks are not removed, so we can’t guarantee the result. Please follow each platform’s rules on disclosing AI content.

Open the exported file in any EXIF viewer, or check its properties: on Mac, Preview → Tools → Show Inspector; on Windows, right-click → Properties → Details.

Yes, you can use your key on your own browsers and devices. Please don’t share it with other people — shared keys may be deactivated.

Click “Manage your subscription” under Pricing and enter your key. You’ll go to the secure Stripe portal, where you can cancel, switch plans, update your card and download invoices. After cancelling, Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.

Some websites block other sites from reading their images (CORS). Save the image to your device and add it as a file, or right-click it and use the extension.

Check that downloads and multiple downloads are allowed for removeai.online, that there’s free disk space, and try a regular (not private) window.

The editor supports formats your browser can display — usually JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and AVIF. Convert HEIC/RAW first, or on iPhone set Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible.

Embedded color profiles are part of the metadata, so some wide-gamut photos can shift slightly. Higher quality or PNG reduces visible compression differences.

Popups close when you click outside them. Click “Open in new tab ↗” to work in a full tab, especially with large batches or drag-and-drop from Finder.

Check the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions, click reload ↻, then refresh the page you’re on.

No. Images are processed locally on your device and never sent to our servers. Read the Privacy Policy.

Email support@removeai.online with your purchase email. Note that invoices must be kept for tax purposes. Clearing site data or removing the extension deletes everything stored on your device.
